Scrap Happiness: Creating Fabric from Scraps
Do you have a basket of fabric scraps you're just not sure how to use? Instead of sorting them into tiny pieces, discover how to turn them into beautiful new "fabric" that can become the foundation for modern quilts, bags, home décor, and more.
In this hands-on class, Susan will introduce a fun, relaxed approach to creating fabric from your scraps by piecing them into unique "chunks" that can be used in creative ways. Every piece will be different, and that's part of the fun!
This class is a great fit if you:
- Enjoy scrap quilting or modern quilting
- Have a growing scrap collection you'd like to use
- Like creative, one-of-a-kind projects
- Are comfortable using a rotary cutter and sewing machine
This class may not be the best fit if you enjoy precise, perfectly matched points and highly structured piecing. This class celebrates creativity, texture, and the unexpected!
How the Class Works
This is planned as a two-session, in-person workshop where you'll learn the process of creating fabric from scraps and explore ways to use your newly created fabric in future projects.
Class Details:
- Two Wednesdays
- September 16 & September 23, 2026
- 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Class fee: $45
