Beginning Quilting – Mini Quilt with Borders

Have you always wanted to learn how to quilt but weren't sure where to start?

This beginner-friendly class is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of quilting through a small, manageable project. Over four sessions, you'll learn the basic skills used in many quilting projects while creating a mini quilt with borders from start to finish.

Along the way, you'll learn proper cutting, pressing, piecing, adding borders, quilting, and binding—giving you a solid foundation for future quilting projects.

The smaller project size keeps the learning approachable while allowing you to experience the complete quilting process without feeling overwhelmed.

This class is a great fit for:

This class focuses on traditional quilting basics and does not cover appliqué or specialty techniques.

Requirements

• The Sewing Basket Mini Quilt Pattern is required.
• Fabric requirements are listed on the pattern.
• Kits will be available and are strongly encouraged for beginning quilters.

Some basic tools will be available for trial use during class to help students make informed purchasing decisions as they continue their quilting journey.

Finished Project

Students will complete a mini quilt with borders while learning the complete quilting process from cutting fabric through binding.
